So how does that seeder work? Squeeze the bulb, touch seed, release bulb and then squeeze again to place seed onto soil?

Well men. I have tried several different methods of seeding Tobacco and up until last night, I considered them all epic failures. The mini wand seeder was ordered from www.JohnySeeds.com and is an amazing tool. You simply choose the correct size tip according to the seed size. Squeeze the bulb, vacuum is drawn. I was able to draw single seeds directly from the seed packets and glass jars that I keep seed in. The two smallest seeding tips allow you to draw vacuum and place your seed well before loosing vacuum. With the three larger tips you got to be a little quicker. I bought this specific just for tobacco and so far it was a good investment.

I would like to show two pictures.
Image 1 shows last years over sown, overgrown mess in my seed flat.
Image 2 shows this years single sprouts coming up in single cells. Done with my handy vacuum bulb mini wand seeder. Germination rate is not 100% for seeds sown but,at least this year I will not be a baby tobacco murderer.

The blue bucket with lid is my special seed starting mix. The green tote contains agribon-15, twine and other goodies. You’ve all seen my chemicals chosen for this year. Tape, pen, paper, scissors, labels, 1020 trays. Anything that you can think of that may be needed get in your grow area and organized. You’ll thank yourself later.

I’m using two four ft. T-12 lamps with one plant and aquarium bulb and one active spaces bulb in each lamp fixture.

The Aloe plant, actually was placed there just minutes before the photo was taken. It belongs to my mother who happened to come over this evening for dinner. She took the little guy home.
