What blends do you currently enjoy and what is in them?
You can make your own Cavendish and Perique from the varieties that you will be growing to open up your blending opportunities even further.

Flue-cured Virginia is a common component in English pipe blends. For your own tobacco, you will need to plan on building a flue-curing chamber, since air-cured Virginia is simply not the same.
  • a variety of Virginia (to flue-cure)
  • a variety of burley (to air-cure)
  • an Oriental variety, such as Prilep 66-9/7 (to sun-cure)
Making your own Latakia (from an Oriental variety) is a daunting challenge. So I would suggest just purchasing Cyprian Latakia for now.
You can easily make your own perique (use some of the air-cured burley). You can make Cavendish of any variety, with the nicotine strength depending on the variety used.
