My grow is in the basement, In a secluded corner (bare floor, no significant heat producing lights) the ambient temperature of the basement air has been 56.5*F, no changes. I have no basement vents from the furnace. And air temp has stayed constant according to my...4th...thermometer I have in my basement.

Rainmax, another month and a half is what I hope for, that's what I did last year.

Well, after a long birthday weekend and catching up on school/moving the roommate out and making my house more homelike, I am posting some new photos. These were taken on the 30th, I checked this morning and the plants are even bigger yet.

Well it's 43*F out right now, just another 25*F to be safe!

It looks like you have a good head start. When do you plan on transplanting your seedlings? We pretty much share the same climate. For myself, I was thinking about the second week of May as long as there is no threat of frost.

How is your Izmir and other orientals doing? It seems that they slow growers.

I plan on the 2nd week of may as well. The orientals are going a bit slow, but I think that's normal. They have the same amount of light so it shouldn't be that issue.

On a different note: I'm limiting my time on the forum just as a FYI. I may post some pictures here and there but my forum usage is taking up family time, if you folks need to get ahold of me just email, private message or call me!

Hey Jeremy, I have not been posting regularly either. I started lecturing two different Organic Chemistry courses last week and the beginning the semester is very hectic. Now I have very little free time if any. I hope things are going well for you and your family. Keep in touch.

take care,

Marco

Update: plants are growing rapidly, I sure to God hope we get warm weather soon! it is snowing outside as we speak...again.

Oh, and with all the rain last week, the basement flooded, 3 inches! Woohoo!

The first image is of my hydro set up.

Yep, spring has not been cooperating around here. The other night let the dogs out and it was snowing. Lot of rain all at once. I usually figure May 20th as the last frost-free day just to be safe. A little closer to the lake than you. Now that I'm retired thinking about starting a vegetable garden again (g)..

I am thinking you could grow 4 or 5 plants outside in an ebb and flow system, if you have proper trellising. I am going to give this a try, once I have some extra time to construct one.

Yup very soon! I'm still trying to get the basement dry before I do any trimming, I don't want to damage the plants when there is still a risk of mold in the basement.
