My seeds came in yesterday and I got them planted last night. I'm hoping to have 25 viable yellow twist buds and 25 burleys. My next seed order should be in on thursday. I'm hoping to get 40 viable virginia bright leafs out of that planting. I got the soil moist all the way through and have put them in the oven at 80 degrees for several hours. I think tomorrow I'll back my wifes car out of the garage and put the tray in there for the day, it probably gets around 75 degrees in there setting in the sun during the day time. I'm sure that won't bode well with her, but oh well, she'll get over it!!! I sure hope next week at this time I'm looking at little sprouts!!

Don't cover with soil ,but a covering over container or tray till seeds show signs of germination . I had a tray with my grow medium covered with white freezer wrapper paper my first yr. and it worked fine. Keep moisture in or even a semi cover to filter light and keep moisture in till seeds germinate. This year I had to go with a lid that snapped shut the second time around to keep fungus gnats out and killing my sprouts. Check out the FAQ at FTT header on forum page for Grow info. compiled by Deluxestogie.

i believe starting the seeds, is the most difficult part of the whole baccy growing process,,,

and really once you get the starting '' down to a ''T''......sucess is guaranteed.

as long as the inscects dont ruin your crop,
