Controlled Chaos
Well-Known Member
This was made using a batch of Maryland 609 that was toasted a little too long and had an aroma like slightly burnt malt or something like that but after some time in a jar took on a chocolaty aroma. Figuring there was nothing to lose after my latest WLT order came in it seemed like a good chance to try snuff making.
Ingredients:
58.3g tobacco flour
20g distilled water
16g mineral oil
9ml anise extract (could have used a little more)
4g sea salt
3g washing soda
2ml TFA Red Hot flavor (next time I'll try 1ml)
1ml PG
After everything was mixed it was spread on a cookie sheet and placed in the oven at 170°F for 5 minutes before being pressed for two days. Just tried it and it's a little heavier on the cinnamon than intended but it's easy to take. Sorta reminds me of Pöschl snuffs with its moist but fluffy texture that doesn't want to fly to the back of the throat given the opportunity
