I've always liked Rick Taylor. He is a more rustic roller then some of us. I'm glad someone said something about his binder/wrapper placement being off. I think somebody said something about it in comment on one of his videos. I forget. I was going to ask him about it but, well, I skipped it.

I will separate my fillers from the wrapper. I will use some to keep finished cigars in; some I'll use some to back fill with. And when using the lieberman machine it's really nice to use scrap.

"I use that same blend as my every day smoke that you use webmost!!!"

Please share that blend with us.

Don

Sure, to quote webmost, and not get the quote wrong, I copied it.

"All habano. Throw in one half leaf of mata or criollo in the center, entubado your wrapper scrap, and that makes one damntasty of a cigar, I can tell you that. The biggest prob I have is that this wrapper leaf being so thin and uncrinkled means it wants to lay too tight and not draw right."

I use all Habano seco (can be substituted for another habano of your choice), half leaf Braz. Mata Fina and Criollo 98' Liguero in the center.
It would look like this:
attachment.php

Habana 2000 Wrapper
Nicaraguan Habano Seco
½ leaf Brazilian Mata Fina
1 or 2 leaves (your preferred taste) Criollo 98' Liguero

It can also be changed with wrapper, you CAN use Habano Seco as a wrapper, or a Criollo 98' Liguero leaf as a wrapper.

Another one I do is Just Habano Seco for Wrapper, binder, and Filler with Braz. Mata Fina.

By the way, the picture above the cigars are drying on dry scrap leaves, since I have an abundance. This is hand rolled, no mold. And, I used to use a lot more glue back then.

I roll my scraps like this:

½ Piloto Cubano filler
½ Scraps
Criollo 98' Liguero as a wrapper.

Thank you for sharing!

You're welcome! That ½ Piloto Cubano filler recipe on the bottom is something Gdaddy and I came up with a while back. \
He calls his "lil' Rudy", I call mine 6shooter. He's the one who convinced me to try the Criollo Liguero as a wrapper.

I was already using the Piloto Cubano Seco in that manner, but used an Aleman Liguero Center or filler. Still have a little of that, but am saving back some for my summer smokes.

The Piloto Cubano Seco can really help smooth out a blend, especially scraps from several countries.

Correction: They're called "Gun Slinger".

Dave I've never tried the Liguero as a wrapper but will give that a try in the future. It might take a while to find a suitable leaf for the wrapper.
And I know if it works for both you and Bob it must be good.
