Staghorn vs GCR

Who has grown both?

I’m just trying a sample of this years staghorn and I am blown away by it. I’m thinking of just doing it as my whole crop next year.

It has a similar mouth feel and ph of the burley I’m accustomed to smoking, but with a deeper fruity flavour I would expect from a stout Virginia blend.

I think this would pair well with a condimental amount of dfk.

I've grown Goose Creek before and it's one of my faves. I'm growing Staghorn for the first time this year.

I wouldn't compare GCR to DFK. Its more like uhhh ummm WLT Maryland with a cedar note??

I wasn’t comparing it to dfk, I was meaning that blending a small amount of dfk in with this straight staghorn would be nice

good description though, I can imagine what that tastes like. When is your harvest? Looking forward to how your staggies come along
