The ol'lady was at a dentest office and was asked to breath into this thing. It not only tells if you smoke but how much. Recon what thease dam things will be used for?
Smokers have to pay higher insurance premiums. If you lie and say you don't smoke to get out of paying extra, you're guilty of fraud. They can either deny coverage or make you pay the extra that you should have been paying, including "back pay". One more intrusion of the gov't or insurance companies into our private business.
I'm covered by my wife's insurance from work. It costs me $90.00 more per month because I'm a smoker. My guess is that the insurance companies, or the gov't thru Obamacare, are forcing providers to look for fraud at "point of use" if they want to get paid.
...insurance companies....
Proving fraud would be nearly impossible unless there is a clause in your policy that requires you to inform the insurance company if you START using tobacco.
My guess would be that it is simply a billable procedure. What's your best guess as to why they are checking for smokers at a dentists office rather than taking the patients' word for it?
any so they can make a buck.I smoke very few cigars a year, 24 or less. What do the jack boots consider to be a tobacco user?

Did they ask if you wanted to live.My life insurance policy didn't ask about tobacco use -- and the premium was better than the alternatives I checked out. You can get better deals in life insurance from fraternal organizations than from the big national insurance companies, you just have to find them.
I have a whole life policy with investments. They took a blood test 15 yrs ago to check for drugs ect.
I cannot complain about the co. I have made some money over the yrs. I ask for $ they send it,
they get there share also.
I am worth more dead than Alive.
