I should have done a follow up on that same field when it was harvest time . The leaves grew like crazy and spread long and wide .
If I was to guess I would say the leaves trippled in size or more .

. Remember , after topping is when the suckers start .
My commercial get sucker control the other ( Customer Sales, no sucker control ) gets hand suckered or when I strip it there is suckers . Unless you let the suckers grow too long they get to be a major problem .

i have gotten real good at sucker control.
damn this years crop has me so exited, i for once have all my bases covered,
look forward to my journal, for what i have in store, for this crop,,,from starting to curing,,,it's gonna be good,

NO the bud will not come back ,but the suckers will come out at each leaf starting at the top and going down . Left alone they will look like tree limbs with the bud on each limb.
