Hey I’m looking for information about why chew is traditionally made from air cured tobacco.
What would flu cure chew taste like?
Would it be too low nicotine?
Too low taste?
Would air cured Virginia make good chew or only air cure varieties?
Are red man type and skoal type chew both typically or mostly air cured?
I realize skoal or red man and so on hold there recipe behind lock and key but just looking for the do’s and dont’s of making chew and why.
The reason I ask is I happen to have planted way more Virginia then the other “chew” variety black mammoth And will be air curing all or most of it and if I don’t like air cured tobacco I might try chew.
Knowing what “is” used is helpful but I also like knowing why other types at not suitable.
