Like Lefty, I learned that even though soil has not been used for any kind of planting before, it needs proper care and fertilization for a tobacco crop. I learned that, at least for my location, early germination (in mid-February) is crucial, if I have any hope of getting mature leaf by early September. I also learned that it is possible to grow some tobacco outside, in a sheltered part of my garden. However, as my tobacco still tastes horrible, I’m hoping to learn how to make it taste better....LOL.
