Bright leaf is pretty sweet on its own and takes flavor additions well, but it's kinda mild for a cig in my opinion

I hae heard that Bright Leaf Flue Cured is a good tobacco for cigarettes. The Flue Curing is the hitch at this point. I grew mainly Monte Calm Yellow, considered to be the same thing as TN90 or at least real close. and Yellow Twist bud last year and it makes a cigarette tobacco that is just fine for the 4 smokers in my house. THere is a little Bright Leaf and Bursa in the mix but not a lot.

I have since found out that a good place to start for a cigarette blend is 40% Burley, 40% Virginia and 20% orientals.

The dip as I understand it is prety much any old trash from making cigars and cigarettes. including stems and stalks. NOT sure if that is true.

If you consider that dip is really just pulverized chew, then I would recommend Yellow Twist Bud! The frustrating (to some) or fun part (to others) is that everybody eventually finds a favorite. I do not like flue cured tobacco AT ALL but there are others on here that would kill for it. Have some fun and grow a few different varieties. Try some Burly, Virginia, Turkish and even some primitives. You will find something you like sooner or later.

I believe Daniel that the MCY is much mellower than the tn-90. It may be just my experience of the tn-90 leaf position that I have tried, but it mixes well with the Virgina flue cured from FmGrowit as a cig. a little strong. Great cigar , I may have had mostly upper leaves because when I got curios about cigars FmGrowit sent me a realy fine sample pack. I think thats one of the reasons I'm growing so much Bursa this year and next year orinaco blanco. I can't speak to the dip but plan on researching the snuff section for some new aquaintences that showed interest recently.
I am trying realy hard to grow some YTB but it has proved to be one of my toughest so far. I have maybe 6 and I believe they will make it.
