Dang it Guys, You just flaired my OCD up.
I got one of BB rollers but had to send the box to BarG so I Have not had time to make a stand for it until now.
I forgot I had this laying around from when I built my kitchen cabinets and my wife wanted a bigger refrigerator so I had to build another cabinet for above it. Just got to put some legs on her and cut the top for the roller and Shellac and install doors. I really should not bring this home my wife will expect me to finish the kitchen island. I don't know why she has a bug up her butt for it. It has only been seven yrs.image.jpgimage.jpg

I love that post made me giggle, I once made cabinets for my wife. Took 9 years for the doors to be made I got those done after we had moved and my daughter moved in.

Honduran Heart Pine, looks pretty close to our old Heart Pine but costs a lot less than the reclaimed heart pine. I used to import it thru a broker in Mississippi when I made wide plank flooring.

We need another volunteer to test BigBonners cigar roller. The shipping to the volunteer is free. I want to buy it and build a permanet rolling station for it but can't fit it in my budget yet. I found it to roll a more uniform and tighter cigar than my hand rolled. I figure if you have a couple dozen pressed fillers binding and wrapping would be a breeze after setting the size to fit a consistant size. Pm me if you want to test the roller . It will come shipped in a small crate you can also use to test it out and 2 hands of burley.

I'll give it a shot. I have been watching it from the day BigBonner posted it. I would love to see how well the paint has done. I need to fill My humidor back up, so this will give My son and I a nice day together. I think it will end up at BrownThumbs for a fitting LOL. I think when Linda sees it I will not get to try it, She will take it over her self to roll. The rolling matt is a look at as well, It has got to be some great product for the use.

I like the material for the mat. I used some fruit pectin for glue on the wrappers and used a damp sponge to clean immediately after each time.

About how much does that critter weigh? If I had one, I think I would build a stand around it that could be clamped to a work table top when it was in use, then unclamped and stored out of the way when not in use. Would this work?

Knucks, From the pics. I seen on how it is made- looks like maybe four to 4 1/2 lbs. When it gets here I will know. Not sure on the crate? BarG can answer that one. I would do a custom table with a leaf rack forward of the roller (5 or 6)and space to both sides to cut and work the tobacco for the roll. Even holes to the side for wells to hold bonding liquids as well as a spray bottle. Maybe even a steam hose.

My buddy is getting the granite made for me it has a hole beveled into it so I can pull out the roller and put a filler piece of granite into the top and roll cigs on it also.

I can't wait to see more photos of this project! It is encouraging to follow you and others on their "station" builds!

I FINALLY got my little station set up...at least for now so I could start rolling!

It's not much to look at right now, but it works for me and it gives me the space to roll.

There are still many things I want to get and do here, but it's finally a start...

You have all the ingrediants there for cigar rolling and putting meat on the table. Keep it up and you'll be rolling some fine ones.
