There have been times through the years when I regretted hoarding WLT Ec maduro wrapper. Sometimes its taste is slightly chemical; occasionally it won't burn, sometimes you have to dial the filler way back to compensate for the strength of the wrapper. But other times I'm really happy I still have a few bags of that stuff, because it's just what the doctor ordered. With the right blend, with proper drying and humi time, and when you're in the mood for some wicked strength, it really comes into its own. Plus, many people seem to enjoy looking at dark cigars.

This morning's robusto (5.25x52). Yeah, it put me on my ass, but I was in the mood for that.

And a repost of that toro grande (6.5 x 52) from the other day:

Wrapper: Mexican San Andreas, binder:seco, filler: 3 seco 2 ligero. First time using the msa, it was the thinnest of the three wrappers I have used to date.

This one had a strong Mellon/rind (like a bite of Mellon with a hint of rind) that developed into liquorice then back into the Mellon/rind flavor. Background flavors were chocolate, cream, almond past. Overall it was a very interesting and surprisingly good smoke.

Rolled a few tonight. They’re starting to look somewhat presentable. I just can’t cap them for the life of me.

the last picture is my first next to my most recent.
#1 is Connecticut and #15 is maduro.

If you're interested someday, I've made a couple hundred videos that show very clearly how to make triple caps.

As deluxe alludes to; by stretching and contorting.

I have actually been watching your videos, great content, very informative. I rewatched some of your rolling videos and I figured out my issue, I have been cutting the wrapper and shoulder off instead of twisting them into pigtails. I’m going to try again today and see how it looks.

Ah. It'll go a lot better next time, then.
