I'll be growing that gc1 (tr55) rustica again this year, I look forward to comparing notes on it with you. I did not get those cabbage leafs from the grin pictures last year, but will try again.
Absolutely Smokes , I aiming for those cabbage leafs or more.
Like Bob says , all Rusticas flower + sucker like crazy , but I will try to do everything in my power to stop that.
Will you use any fertilizer in your patch ?
The GC 1 does not seem to be so very high in length but I was impressed by the leafsize.
When I thin and replant my plants I use a pair of tweezers to take away the excess seedlings , a nailfile to take up the only left seedling and the shank of a teaspoon to drill a deeper hole for it to stand in.
Seems to work out pretty good , but ofcourse u never know......
Have made 6 outof 16 varieties so far , and I think is was quite fun.
Sorry for da bad taken picture , but it is anyway this years first snail I found on my lot today.
Took 2 pics of him , then I squeezed him to almost nothing....
No way chillard , I'm gonna have a small bucket wit lid later on and have salt in it , is that mean ?
Suppose no one's gonna eat'em , just let em bake them in the sun....
Found another one today of an other type and I spared it , some sort of shellsnail and tossed him/her over to my neighbors lot......
It had found a place on the only wheelbarrel we have at this very moment.
