The Gawith Black XX rope is coated in olive oil before being steamed. I tried olive oil before and I found it tasted overly like burnt bbq grill. I read in the big book of tobacco flavour that palmitic oil was more sweet so I thought I would give it a try.

I read this morning about placing rose geranium in a container with holes and then placing this inside the flue chamber so the leaves are infused with a scent while curing. There was specific information about ratios etc, but I thought it was an interesting idea nonetheless.
has anyone attempted to scent a crop intentionally using a similar approach?

I had western red cedar floor boards in my shed and it absorbed into the tobacco so I removed them.

My recipe is in the photo. If were to approximate this with WLT, I might go 10g black cav made with the bright VA, 6g Maryland, 4g fire cured, 5g dark air, 5g Krumovgrad.
I haven't tried it yet but I'll keep you posted.

Oh yeah. Worth it, but my inexperience of real Lakeland leaves me with nothing to compare it to.
