A one year rotation..lol. I now have about 20 pipes. Half are the cob seconds and the rest sorted used estate briars. I really like the way Sid presents his pipes. Always with a little thought out classy background.

Pipe smokers are pretty rare these days and have been for many years. I have never had any friends who smoked a pipe. All of them smoked cigarettes. My father smoked a pipe full time and I can't remember any of his friends smoking a pipe either. Pipe smokers are a rare breed. Cigars are about the same as well. If you take a look back into let's say the world war years of the early and mid 20th century you see pipe smokers a lot more often. At least a few in a group of men are always present. Today that trend seems to have died out. I can almost bet I'm the only pipe smoker in my small town county seat. Many of the small convenient stores here do not even sell pipe tobacco.

Whats going into those bad boys, Sid?
That is awful English slang. Bad = good. Boys = things. "Bad boys" sometimes means "excellent things". In this case, I suspect that the confusing slang is asking you what tobacco you are smoking in the beautiful pipes that you show in your photographs.Sorry sir but which boys are bad?

Dunhill pipe tobaccos are ceasing production. The owner of the marque may or may not sell it to some other pipe tobacco manufacturer. But for a number of years now, the quality has been declining from their outsourcing of Dunhill production to the lowest bidder. My morning smoke was elizabethan mixture in a falcon. Im really fond of early morning pipe in a savinelli punto oro for my morning smoke, but im out of it at the moment.
