Ppl. find out backer is a lot of work. But you still got a nice patch.
You have got that rite Boboro. I will have more than I will use this year. I was after the seed harvest to send out as well. Got to see exactly what I have in the house plot to post. I planted from one to ten of most that I had held back for back ups LOL Now to back up My back ups. HA HA HA Now Linda will have to look at seed bags. Hope She don't mind with all the poor judgement I made this year. At least I can see what is going on with the plants here and not worry about some one trying to help.Ppl. find out backer is a lot of work. But you still got a nice patch.
We had drizzle here two nites in a row. None stayed more than a few moments. 57 deg. was the lowest at night this week. humid. was 82% at time of drizzles. It is at 23% now. Strange how the weather is here in NM. Go figure We have an ice cave in the lava beds that never thaws out in the desert that gets in the triple digets all sumer. No signs of horn worm yet, got the hoppers under control. Even the weather up at Stag is 15-20 deg. different desertpipe. LOLMad, only a few of the hoppers showed up here on the Mountain, and the last two mornings had frost on the vehicles. They did not last long.
We have had almost two inches of rain and a bit of hail in the past 48 hours.....more then we had in the first 4 months of this year.
I had some damage befor I could cook up the garlic spray. They are at bay now. I will post some pics on this swarm. I took pics at dark last nite, and the tobacco looks happy. The hoppers are all over and when You walk the fly up in swarms in Your face. They are the small brown ones. My spray is the bomb as well as the fert. recipie. The FAST2GROW works great on the leaf as well.
Well, I have grass hoppers every where. The windows are full, and the little dog I have makes a pile next to the door with them. Here are some pics. of the munching befor I cought up with them.Mad, I have been waiting with interest for further posts on your grow. Thought of you when I watched the local CBS weather guy Roncetti tracking a huge cloud of hoppers with the weather radar. Never seen anything like it, and neither had he. How are you making out with these critters reaching Biblical numbers?
