I got out of bed early this morning to find it snowing . I would like to take a snow ball and shove it up a certain Coyote's ( insert body part here ) __________ , where the sun does not shine .
I hate snow .

We had our first dip into the 20's today with blue sky and little wind. Man it felt great and hit the 60's by afternoon. I don't know about that white stuff, the little I have seen the biggest snowball you could make might fit up a Wiley coyotes left nostril. Twas a cool day.

If it would help . I could always stuff a box with some snow and packed in dry ice and mail it to you . Then you could give that o'l Coyote a real eye opener . Neighbors would hear him howl miles around .

Just fun in Knucks :)

Once when I lived in houston a neighbor friend came back from missouri and shoveled his whole pickup bed full of snow in my yard so my kids could make some snowballs. It was funny.

Well friends, our snow is gone. Yet it's still cold enough to snow. This is gonna be a long winter, better bring in the tobacco and start shredding.

Okay, Knucklehead, I'm game ... we'll talk about you. The first post in this thread implied that you have a serious caffeine "addiction.";) So, what are your favorite coffees? Are you a coffee gourmet, by any chance?

I like Maxwell House Master Blend, Maxwell House Colombian, 8 o' Clock Med. Roast Colombian, and thanks to some good advice from Istanbulin, Mehmet Efendi Turkish Coffee (prepared on the stove top in the traditional Cezve/ibrik). The Turks make up for their weak cigarettes with some really powerful coffee.

...and he add a pinch of salt to the coffee grinds before brewing. To make it strong but not bitter...
...with Turkish coffee he also likes Turkish delight or Rahat-lokum as I was told in Istambul.

Cezve and İbrik are different utensils. While cezve is for preparing coffee, ibrik is for water (water-bottle of old times).

I'm not familiar with adding salt to coffee :) BTW, the word "lokum" was derived from the word "rahat-ul hulküm" (throath soother - like pastil).

The Turks have some pretty good tea too! Tiny tea leaves, but with a nice taste. Turkish cuisine is also fabulous, especially if you like grilled meats ... and my favorite appetizer is Patlican Soslu, a cold eggplant dish that I like to spread on nice crusty Turkish bread. We have some very good Turkish restaurants in north Jersey, especially in Paterson and neighboring cities. The neighborhood of South Paterson has a very large Turkish community.

You have a good memory! I first read of adding salt to coffee to prevent bitterness while making it strong in "The Caine Mutiny" by Herman Wouk. It works well, too. Just a pinch of salt lets you make coffee strong enough to float a horseshoe in but without the bitterness. In the book, it's the Navy secret to good strong coffee.

I do like the Turkish Delight. The ones with mastic are awesome. I haven't opened the box of assorted nuts yet.
