It'll never happen Chicken, Not enough days in the week to learn it all. I'm gonna try to harvest about 3-4 weeks after topping If what I have learned so far is correct which I believe to be accurate for anything not bagged[ will prime these as leaves show to be ripe]. My crop is in so many different stages and varietys it will be the only way for me to learn what I'm doing and done for best quality after my mistakes from last year. The good news is My few dried leaves I have smoked burned like a champ.:D

Pics taken today at noon time 90 degree temp and still climbing.

If you enlarge the Havana 41 pic. what looks like a hornworm egg infestation is really bahaya seeds.

BarG,
Your plants look really healthy! Mine are all over the place, as far as development goes, too. Trouble is hardly any rain, and I am not set up to water except by hand with the redneck sprinkler and a 5 gallon bucket, with 24 hour old chlorinated water in a 100 gallon stock tank. Mine is doing better than expected for the weather we are having...95F today. We haven't had more than 0.5 inches of rain in a single rain since I set them out. Going to have something to cure no matter what happens...cept for tornados and hail and earthquake. Almost forgot cattle...my neighbors cows got out yesterday and I had two cows and 10 calves in my patch. Unbelievably only one Virginia Bright Leaf got taken out...several others twisted around a bit. Hope you can get a great result from your patch.

That tropical depression debby is hovering over chicken now and could work its way up to you workhorse.

My wife claims they are comparing the amont of rainfall to tropical storm Allison that hit south central texas and caused a lot of flooding about 12 yrs ago closing down the medical center in houston..

It'll probably make them try to fall over if its that bad. I remember you had pretty tall rows made by tractor so that will help . I learned my lesson one year to always orient my rows to facillitate drainage in case of flood. I planted early on most of my veggies 1 year then went to louisiana for 2 weeks to do a job and got a hard frost and flood while I was gone and had to replant everything when I got back.

I would if I could BigBonner, even with the good rains we got at least half of them missed me by a few miles. Last year I drew rain turtles, tried rain dances and loaded my shotgun to salt the clouds [should have used a cannon]. Nothing worked.;)

Its either feast or famine or drought or drench! I hope I keep up my happy medium here this year. Sorry workhorse your getting flooded while Bonners getting drought, you two need to get together and share some of that with each other to reach that happy medium. Best of luck to both. Rayshields is also getting dryed out so you could send some his way too.

I think my rains done did their thing and moved on. We'll see. 105 degree high today and no rain in forecast.

Yep. It's feast or famine. I just had a strong line of T storms come thru. All the baccy is drooping pretty bad but I won't panic. No broken stems and they should come back. It's almost time to start tying the CT shade.

Thank god no hail!
