I was thinking yours were. I got some nice lower, but the tops of yours definitely got larger leaf.
I never have any time to harvest all the the tips, I don't look at them. I guess Im leg Guy.
If I can even get these to cure without mold , I would be happy.

Very impressive Golden Burley. In my little 10' x 10' shed (in SW Virginia), I can let the Golden Burley stalks hang all year, without a problem. They seem less prone to molding at the stems than many other varieties. Right about now (mid-July), the Golden Burley from the previous year is mellow and smokable, directly from the shed. (Mine is still hanging there from 2014.) It does improve with subsequent kilning.

Thanks Bob,
GrFinny clued me in on using a fan while stalk curing.
Mentioned your vid and now I know why I get mold on them.

Next in the Kiln, Del Gold.
Im Letting them ripen up a few days before putting them in.
This is going to be a Mother Load.
Gonna try 8 sticks.

That is a good ammount of leaf to throw in there..

Im sort of going for the motherload of my kilning career this year also..i got a metal shed..10'x 15'...that im gonna pack my colour cured leaf in...and i got a l.p. gas heater..( the kind you see mounted to walls in houses..a square box with a line of flames in the bottom of it )...

Gonna fire that bad boy up...and see what i got to do to get it to hold a steady 165*.....

Next year i plan on building a metal 2 story shed just for my bacca doings..im gonna try and design it to resemble a old style stick barn..

This is the first year ive planted in my new spot.and the ammount of leaf ive got from picking half of all the plants.is huge.

I converted a extra bedroom into a makeshift stick barn..right now its 2/3 full...and has my house smelling of sweet curing bacca.

Im going to say Pa Red is on the left. Just harvested my PR yesterday and it looked similar in gatoring and mottling as well as leaf vein and leaf size proportions.

That is what I was thinking too. The ruffled edges on the catterton.

BT, If you put your ear up close to all those aphids, and be real quiet, you may be able to hear them clinking their glasses now and then.

I have a few plants that are pretty much like that. I spray Dawn water, hose them off, repeat. Once the plants are topped, I just keep them well suckered, and trust the increasing nicotine to discourage them. Sometimes it works.

I sent my aphids North with Admire. I'm glad to see they found a loving family and a good home.

High Protein Tobacco.

I will send you a couple ounces of my Admire for next year if you want to give it a go. I will never use the 16oz bottle before shelf life ruins it.
At the rate I'm going I might just have to grow a small crop next yr.
500 or so. And try that chit out so I can send them aphids back to you and Knucks:)

When they get like that, it's not so much the aphids, but their Chit on the leaves below them (they can turn nearly black)....... I lost a lot of leaf last year.
