That perique is really good also just air dried and aged a year or two. A great cigarette blend. I just like it.
I agree. Trial and error is key with Perique. Every variation of Perique (St. James Parish, vs. various home-made Perique) differs in strength and pH. Start with a low percentage of Perique, like 5%. The highest percentage that I've enjoyed is about 25% Perique, depending on the quantity of flue-cured Virginia in the blend, and the source of Perique.Personal taste is just that. Perique tends to smooth out a blend and reduce tongue bite. Make a blend that sounds good, then add the perique in increments until you like the result.
this thing stinks like Septic Bad,
Better is...well, better....smells stronger and better than months ago.

Did you get any Off Oder's per say with your batch the longer it went.She is going to think you are sick, when you VOLUNTEER to spend some time in the basement "fixing it".
My wife is pissed, It stunk the house out overnight. She went to her mothers today with the kids to get away from the smell.
