Casing on leaves?

Hi everyone.

I was instructed by the casing wlt sells to apply their casing to shredded tobacco then let it air Doran hour or so.

it seems to me that spritzing the leaves before you shred would result in a more consistent application.

thoughts?

I shred my whole leaves and never once did I use casing. Most of the time the leaves are a tiny bit moist so I "toast" them in my oven (spread out on a large cookie sheet) on 200 degrees for about 6 minutes. Then the shredded tobacco is perfect for my Powermatic 3 injector machine.

I have just had this issue with a seized shredder and that was without even using any casing on the leaves. When it comes to shredding, the drier the better (within reason so it doesn't turn to dust). Also, the drier the leaves are, the shred is finer.
