Wow, 2 weeks just to go up one state. Looks like the .gov needs to hire more elves.

Alkaline batteries cannot be shipped by the USPS, whether installed or not. I guess you could include one of those flashlight batteries that charge when you shake them. Then just label the package fragile.

The postal system confuses me. A few years back I posted a letter in London at 5 am in the morning and the client received it three hours later.!!!!!!!!.A few days later I did exactly the same on the way home from work. and the letter took three days to get to the client. a GPS would be interesting

My wife ordered something she liked last year from a store call "Yours" in England, which was located in a town about 30-40 miles outside of London. She just went for the regular shipping, no rush order at all. It was delivered here the next morning by FedEx. Took it 25 hours from the time she placed the order to travel over 5000 miles to our door. :O

I once flew home from Norwich England on a day it snowed. It snowed almost a whole inch! I ended up stuck in Amsterdam because the 3rd largest airport in the world only has 2 de-icers for planes. It took me 45 hours to get home. I should have traveled with FedEx.

Yep travel is funny and the post is funny. It could take you over 7 hours to drive to Cornwall from London by car but I have flown back from Hong Kong in 14 hours the world is small when you look at it.

Perhaps then, why not lithium? How else do they ship cell phones and laptops through the mail?

In situations like that, I assume that the seller had a warehouse located in the states.

DGBAMA gave me the heads up that the package was at the post office for delivery to the shop this morning. I shot over there to get it and get it back on its Journey. It is off to Sweden now.I wanted to track it but they wanted like 40 bucks with tracking to ship it. 24 packs of seed now.Fingers Crossed,BT

Thanks BT for keeping us up-dated on the progress of the seeds ,it is now nearing it's halfway point, Thanks to everyone who have taken part and looked after it on it's journey in the States. It is now on it's way to warmer climate's, and hopefully it will make it all the way round. it will soon start to eat up the mileage now.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that package goes all the way to its final destination so that someone gets the winner of everything.I myself am happy to just be in the chain.

Hasse, Stogie chose "lost in the mail". If it gets lost in the mail he's the big winner.
