Ok. I have decided I can deal with hornworms one at a time. Hole in a leaf........pick the worm.....no big deal.

Budworms on the other hand are pissing me off. Two weeks to overcome the damage they do in a couple days.

WOW! Post 250 is a real winner............... Excellent outcome bro

Quite pleased considering our crazy lack of summer weather. I think they are really just getting started. I went back and looked at that post.....this coming weekend pix update is going to be way different.;)

The patch is doing great considering we are growing in the amazon this year! You are ahead of the curve. Get rid of them bud worms, And check the plants over real good before bagging or They'll drill a hole in every one of the seed heads.

Topped/trimmed flower buds on the Havannah today. Bagged the first Yayladang (my least successful grow but second to bud). A couple of the Bursa and VA Gold are showing budheads, just barely, so I expect them to be ready to bag and top next weekend. Izmir is looking healthy with no sign of budding at 5' tall. YTB is finally growing upward, no idea what to expect; and the Silver River are going to be monsters, no sign of budding on either.

It is exciting....put blind folds on for 1 week and than have a look. It is amazing. I found a horn worm today while priming 1st one I've seen in weeks but saw 3 mantis yesterday I think I have more good bugs than bad.

Be watchful the next few days. I also got a few week reprieve....then they came back with a vengeance.....sometimes more than one per leaf. They are calming down now.

we did this yesterdaytoo, this is all new to me everything seems to be going well but i'm afraid i am gonna screw something up! LOL

Yup, knew what I wanted to do but took an hour of staring at the plants I have put so much work into before I got the nerve to start breaking leaves off of them. But the ones that are done now look so much healthier just by removing the lower leaves. Just hope I can get the hanging part right.

Are you gonna string on wire or sticks? Don't worry put the same effort in to tiein as you did in to growing and you'll do fine.

Trialing a vertical hanging setup with the Lugs. Leaves lay just like they would if stalk cured. Would be ideal for a freezer kiln but not sure about air cure.....will watch them closely and restring horizontal at the first sign of undesirable results.

Might be worth investing in a hygrometer if you don't ready have one. I got an analog thermometer/hygrometer for $30 somewhere that helps when curing.
