Ebola seems to be pretty difficult toget when you think about it. First we had the guy from Liberia go to the ER in Dallas not once but two times. Think about all the people he was in contact with while waiting in the ER to be seen by a doctor. Not a single one of them has Ebola. Of the 8 people (or was it more?) that lived in his tiny apartment, none of them caught it. Then we have the workers then cleaned up the guy's house, the doctors and techs that treated him in the ER. I would estimate he probably was in contacted with at least 100 people. Two people get it. If my math is right we're looking at a 2% rate for getting the disease once you have been in contact (the same room etc) with an Ebola patient. Seems pretty benign to me.
And what the hell is wrong with this country anyway? Why would a nurse that was in intimate contact with an Ebola patient fly on a commercial jet liner within the 3 week incubation period? The entire flight crew was given a 21 day leave period from work. There were 2 children on board that plane. The schools the children attend have been shut down!
I want in on some of this action. Maybe I can get 21 days (paid) off work by telling my boss that I know I guy that knows a guy that lived next to a dog that pee'd on another guys lawn that knew a girl that used to live in Dallas.... therefore I might have contracted Ebola.
