It sure would be nice to get this fine of a cut at home, but I don't have any idea how to even get close to this. They say the cut is finer than human hair. The pipe that is used to smoke this is called a Kiseru.

Has anyone ever heard of this tobacco before?

I bought a kiseru a couple weeks ago and it was delivered a few days ago. I have an old GG, CG or GC cast iron tobacco cutter and I suspect the cut it produces will work well in it. A kiseru pipe has a very small bowl so it only holds enough for a few puffs. Even so, there are times when I don't want a whole cigarette and a kiseru will do well at those times. According to comments I've read kizami is similar to thuoc lao (nicotiana rustica). When I process my next batch I'll cut some rustica and make a special high nicotine blend just for the kiseru.

From what I understand kizami is plain air cured Burley. There are a couple of You tube videos that show it being machine cut. Another interesting tobacco is dokha that is smoked in the same manner with a medwkh.
