Raining here this AM and all the seedlings are straight up. (Not tall yet but Golly Molly, they're only seedlings.)

Pics as requested. Please note the can is full and for size reference only. I never touch the stuff. (Vodka is my poison.) :D

The driveway in the back of pic 2 is in the state park adjoining to my place. It's kinda nice watching people walk, jog and walk their dogs from my sun porch.

They seem to be enjoying their shower. I had a little rain this morning too. I'm going to spray BT and pull some grass in a little while, after it gets shady.

Empty bottles are useless,
Except as measuring devices. Whatever, I corrected the problem. This one is full {temporarily}. And as a measuring device you can see I have made a little progress from the beer can stage. All seem to be doing well. There is some minor bug damage but not bad yet and I am watching carefully. I don't want to spray and have the rain wash it into the ground too much.

Pic 1 -- Size comparison. Note the car on the driveway. That is the state park driveway. That's how close I am.

Pic 2 -- Full patch -- Note: the string support now covers both halves. -- The CT shade (right front) got beat down a bit by yesterdays storm but seems to be coming back. I have to string them soon but the stalks are so small now I am holding back a bit.

id imagine they get serious bucks for thier leaf???

especially with the younger generation, smoking thier small cigars,,, and selling blunt wraps, which is nothing more than a piece, of a wrapper leaf,

im sure the demand for it is up. since 10 yrs. ago

You're right. My friend has expanded from 40 to 60 acres under cover and others in the area are expanding also. I don't know about this year but last year they were getting $33/lb. wholesale (by the bale).

One guy with 300 acres under cover near the Hartford CT airport (Bradley Field) was hit by yesterdays storm and there are reports that 30 acres of net blew off and landed on I-91. You ever try to drive on wet plastic? Nobody else could either. Quite a mess for a while I hear.
