Absolutely! They also have a larger version called the cannonball. I like smoking this little one, best when theres a gentle breeze just to keep smoke out of the eyes!
When I searched around for these online it became clear that both currently, and often, the available stock is very limited. In a completely unnecessary panic I purchased the only grapeshot dark contrast I could find on offer. So I will be getting the black long-stem version.

Last night I finished off the remianing half a bowl of my pressed and stoved VA/Per blend. I still feel like there's something missing or not quite right about it; I just can't quite put my finger on it. I'll make more, but only after I decide what it needs. I followed that up with a bowl of my English blend. The more I smoke that, the better I like it. It does come across a little on the strong side, but not in a bad way. I shredded up the entire four ounces of Izmir that I got (from a place I won't mention, but they sell 1/4# sample quantities) and am looking forward to trying the same blend with Izmir in place of the Samsun.

Funny you should mention that... I have a little sample of light fire cured that WLT sent with my order. I haven't tried it yet... I should do that today and see what it brings to the table.

yeah! that should be a great pipe, that longer stem should help keep the smoke out of your eyes while keeping them less crossed when lighting! hope you like it!

I bought mine at Muletown last year after I saw a couple of guys smoking them, I was told best to get one when you can because they sell out fast, so I did!

The new pipe arrived a day early. To celebrate I shaved off some of the recent Bayou Dawn plug. This thing smoked fantastically while I used both hands to weed and prep a row in the garden.

A bit of the latest batch I pressed. Unnamed as yet. 13 parts of my own VA leaf, 6 parts Perique, 1 part light fire cured. Very lightly bourbon cased, pressed 3 days, oven heated at 150 for a few hours on day 2. It'a a very simple blend, I know. No rough edges, very smooth, with a little more nicotine than I had anticipated. Or maybe some of it is the dram of Islay I'm enjoying with it. Note to self: Don't try a brand new bland in combination with booze.

Hello from Athens-Greece, we have sun and 65 'F here. I was out of forum for few days due to my vacations (the feast of Carnival and Clean Monday) in my parents house in a village and this was the menu exclusively for the clean Monday meal.

Some of my first batch of English; a slight variation on Towers of Antioch to accommodate my supply of leaf. I’m struck by the changes in this blend. At first it was a bit rough around the edges. Then I pressed it for three days in the noodle press, and it improved greatly; nice and smooth. Still not quite perfect, but better. Now that it’s got a couple of weeks in a jar, it’s REALLY good. Like, easily as good as anything factory produced that I was smoking. The next batch with Izmir in place of the Samsun in this batch promises to be even better. I’m a happy camper.

Today I let a few grams dry thoroughly; I’ve been leaving it too damp. Loaded up the Savinelli Trevi 320KS, which is a proper wide bowl for blends like this.
