I just made cavendish from the dregs I let hang from last season. Some of it was suckers that had resprouted and I picked very early spring. I am very happy with the result and I think I’ll probably do the same this year.
yes i did. And as you predicted they were fantastic... well i could taste the potential. They had a slightly, but not in a bad way outdoorsy taste. However after a few days in the kiln they smell like perfect creme brûlée. They are going to be good. I believe that outdoors taste will air out fast.
And yes you are also correct. I believe the fire ban started in late july and went into december last year so ya... no rain at all.
