That reminds me of a remodel I did where the jakuzi bathtub was surrounded by glass to the outside landscape. I was tempted to throw in a set of bleachers at no extra charge.When you quit growing tobacco you could turn it into a two seat outhouse for a nudist colony.

Everytime theres a major storm, the lumber industry jacks their prices, but they never come back down! Retailors have no choice, but to raise theirs also.

indianjoe, post the pic of your redneck greenhouse man, I want to see it. When you build with whats on hand to serve a function And hopefully not spent a dime then you accomplished your goal. Been there and still do that every chance I get.This cost a me $170.00 wich is about $90.00 more than it should have since lumber prices keep soaring. The glass was free, and I had to build to last as it will double as a solar kiln for lumber hopefully for many years.
A piece of glass over a wood crate box would serve just as well for my hot box.

Outside looking in east end.
East end interior view. seeds started for upper flat and part of lower tier about 5 weeks + a day or 2. It took almost 2 weeks to figure the best way to control proper temps to ensure best germination, and another 2 weeks to observe growth to fine tune my grow medium which made a big difference also and saw immediate improvement.
West end view. new seedlings and germinating cups and cells. Cups on front facing that look barren are second batch of vegies and cantaloupes and melons.

I'm too ashamed to post pics of my plants. Do you control temps by the vent in the door? That's pretty neat.

The vent was for the wood dry kiln, in a couple months it will have served the greenhouse purpose. I have to open door on full blown sunny day to keep temps below 100 Degrees or less. The plants seem to thrive in it though, they have doubled insize the last couple days after getting" damping" I hope I got this term right, [Soil staying saturated] in soil taken care of and things of that nature.
