Ah, yes. The famous Twitter graph. (Just do a reverse image search of it.) If you care about validity, then you might want to look up the actual data that is referenced in the upper right of the Twitter graph.

excerpted from the bottom CDC reference

or for the whole, multi-year spreadsheet: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/weeklyarchives2019-2020/data/NCHSData12.csv

This is why I discourage these sorts of discussions on the Fair Trade Tobacco Forum. It requires actual effort to present valid data.

So do we need a new name for Tobacco Matrix Virus now? Or can we keep it, like "bird flu", since it predates the rule?

And if my tobacco gets TMV but then gets better, is it "flu cured"? Inquiring minds want to know.

There is no subject so terrible that I can't make a bad joke about it. Trust me on this.

...flu-cured....:ROFLMAO:

The proper name of "Tobacco Mosaic Virus" is Tobamovirus tabaci.

Imagine a world of "scientific correctness" as opposed to "political correctness".

So, changing the subject... @BarG, have you ever noticed that catfish seem to talk to you when you catch them? They kinda do that little grunt and try to bite you while you get the hook out of their mouth. I'm not sure exactly what they are saying. They sound a bit grouchy though. Guess it's hard to blame them given the circumstances. Probably something like, "put me back in the water already". They are more endearing than most fish given their personality. Large mouth bass and crappie just kinda stare at you, gar just try to bite you, but catfish are always willing to say something, even if it may not be very nice.
I was gifted a boat by an in law. Somehow they fit 40 horses in the little engine that may or may not run when I get it out on the water. The tilt doesn't work so when I hit sandbar or log my work begins. I'm looking forward to some adventures and possibly a lot of paddling this spring and summer with the grandkids. Best of luck to your fishing this year.

Man, 5 different tornado sirens for our town this afternoon/tonight and upwards of 9-10 tornados spotted in a 60 mile radius of us. Never seen a tornado season this active here before - and in a single day! Had them pass by both on the west and east side of town and one just cut barely across north of us. Think we dodged a bullet tonight but more are predicted for tommorow. There are plenty of empty farmlands around us that are not planted yet for the tornadoes to frolick and be wild and free in. Glad they stayed out there.
I hope our neighboring towns faired as well as we did today. Sounds like north eastern Arkansas may have taken some hits though. On a normal day people don't say wow I got lucky, on a day like today with some serious threats people do say wow I got lucky. Funny how perspectives change when things are out of the norm.

A tame night tonight. Hardly felt lucky at all. A few watches but no tornadoes. No sirens. Just a few gusty storms with rain and plenty of thunder. More like life should be in civilized parts of the world I suppose. Guess, I was still lucky though. My kid (I.e. me) recently bought a fancy overpriced car for him. Had the threat of dollar sized hail so had that baby parked halfway in the garage behind our car and the rest covered with two layers of comforters on top. It looked pretty warm and cozy and was spared the hail damage that never came. It was much more comfortable than my poor truck left abandoned and neglected in the driveway at the mercy of elements was anyhow.
My comforter is now sufficiently soaked and tonight I will have to think warm thoughts without it. So goes life. Maybe I still a feel a little lucky though - too warm for the comforter anyways. More weather forecast for tomorrow.

I have to ask, is it only in America where people fill up a two car with enough worthless crap that only one car can barely fit?

Darn, guess it's time I buy a bigger garage. Or kick the last kid out of the house. One of the two options would definitely be cheaper. I joke of course, kind of, maybe, right... 18 in three months, not that I'm counting;)

Kidding of course, he's a good kid and a cheap lawn mower, guess I'll be happy to cope for a while longer.
The wife and I always halfway say jokingly to each other no more kids and no more dogs. I don't know about the more no more dogs part but the no more kids part will be coming to an end shortly. Guess it'll be time to buy a riding mower soon...
