I dont understand it but the first leaves I harvested few weeks ago not only have turned nice yellow color but..this might sound strange [even from me] but they have such "sweet smell" to them never had this before..really the smell is so sweet almost like you want to cook and eat!! well maybe not that good haha!! but honest like someone sprayed sweet purfume on them! what mean is am used to that barn/leaf smell we will see most have just turned mostly yellow/brown from air-curing.

Thank you Professor..thats what I understood also a flue cured variety..but how all this {color of flowers} kinda got started was I have few plants that I forgot to label when planted..and ask someone to help with the most likely type those were if possible and I only planted 4 types this year just something to grow in pots for first time on small scale..but mainly to try my first attempt at "fermenting" !
Bob was kind of enough to help when posted picture of unknown plant..but mentioned that African Red had deep red flowers unlike the other 3 types planted..so I let it goto flower to see the color of them.but was puzzled when it showed same pink-flowers as others growing..some how in all this the "Red Russian" type came-up?? no big deal its all good..now have +- 100 leaves all colored-up ready for my final stage. I will say one thing about the African plant it out-grew all others and still growing tall..wonder if grown in-ground how big those would have been?

This is crazy [even from me] looks like we have an "owl" who has taken up liken in our backyard!! I have lived here 30+ years and only once ever heard owl near here! I seen it two nights ago in tree next door neighbors tree..just now my wife came running to me saying theres owl near our porch outside our back door now the debate starts on what kinda owl it is?? but whats strange we live in surburban area of Nashville like on 1/4 acre lots not the country or woods you expect to see/hear them??
