Your leaf is beeautiful, and with all that nice wood and the leaf looks tropical, like your own little tiki room.
Vodka Miti anyone?

Will you be constructing more racks for the porch?Bob
Actually this is the second one. I took pics of both and they are boringly the same. The second prime will go on the other one and I'll then see if I need a third, fourth? The packing density is so much greater I really don't know.

John, They really look good. The string is good and tight looking. I apologize for not getting a video of momma tying she has a bad hip and messed it up out in the garden.

Bob, In answer to your earlier question -- I did some additional calculating and guessed I would need one more rack. The first pic shows the original rack on the left and the newest one slightly below and to the right of it. The second pic is the first prime yellowing nicely. The temp on the sun porch is 85F/68%RH. Outside right now it is 72F/46% RH. I will probably do the second prime tomorrow and the third in about 10 days. I am not going to cure tips and blossoms this year because I didn't much like them from last year.

Sun porch cured!

Speaking of sunlight, if you have a spot for a test planting of Moonlight for 2014, it may fit into your wrappers-only scheme. Large, tall, light-colored Sumatra shaped leaves. 7' plant in full sun. It's hard to imagine what it would do in your shady bed. I haven't yet finished any of the leaf, but I'm expecting it to be mild and thin.

While there is a lot of direct sun on the porch the leaf is hanging in the shade. The newest rack addition will put the hanging leaf in direct sunlight but it is filtered thru two layers of a thermopane. I'll let you know if I observe any adverse effect.

Please tell me how it turns out. The jury is still out on this years grow so I might include it in next years plan

The patch is starting to look a little thin now. Just finished the second priming. I don't know if I'll bother with a third or not.

The sun porch loft is looking much better.

I am pleased with my leaf this year. 95% of it is wrapper quality. If I don't mess it up while curing I'll have had a good year. I really feel for you guys who got all that rain.

Nice leaf you got there.
Damm I dont know how you can nail into that wood in your sun porch it is so nice looking.
I cringe evertime I put a nail in my logs out in my garage but what some of us will do for the love of Baccy is unexplainable.

It's easy I use screws. When I decide to change something I just unscrew it.

i was thinking the same thing,,, [ what a man will do for his bacca ]

im looking into prices, of doing my mobile home in that type of siding,

very pricy using natural wood, but the outcome is worth the price,

I sided my house in cedar bevel siding. As you might expect there was lots of scrap. I got started that way and ran out of scrap. I went to the lumber yard and they were happy to sell me bundles of "shorts" (3' pieces) at half price. It only took a couple of bundles to finish the job. I used my chop saw to get all the angles identical and smooth. Putting it up over plywood with a light duty nail gun was a piece of cake.
