Popped a tin of 2004 Escudo yesterday to wave the middle finger at "No Tobacco Day" and enjoyed a DGT'd bowl this morning with coffee.

I went to Google Translate. Μολων Λαβε means "Come and take them." Is that a known logo in Greece? I suppose that's like, "You can pry them from my cold dead hands." But it seems like that patch should be where his name is located. And in France, no less.

Ελθων Λαβε in Greek means "Come and get it"
Μολων Λαβε in Greek means "Come if you dare and get it", King Leonidas wanted to insult the persians and show that has not respect for them that's why answered this way.

Davidoff Malawi Dark Cavendish.

King Leonidas. Ah! So this is a quoted phrase as told by Herodotus. It's been over 40 years since I read The Histories. Great stuff.

Bob

One of his best friends named Deenekis [Διηνεκης is in Greece] said the: "We are glad, we shall fight under shadow" when the persian said "our arrows are so many that can cover the sun"
As for the record the Spartans in that battle were 299 [Leonidas fought also as a simple soldier] and not 300.
