It was 23F last night, and the previous 2 nights. But tonight it was 67F: welcome to spring in Texas! I was so happy to be able to sit outside and enjoy a bowl I asked my dear wife to pick out an Aro that she would tolerate me puffing around her. She picked out Dobbie's Foursquare Aromatic and we had a great time relaxing in the yard watching the sunset.

Hello from Greece, we have sun and 66 °F and after the morning shopping [tobacco, pipe cleaners, flowers for my wife] it's time for:

J.M. Cherry Smash.

Sid, I don't think I've ever seen you post the same blend more than once. Your tobacco cellar must be bigger than a house! How many do you have stashed away??? :)

Thank you sir, it could be bigger but the new US Customs Law have different opinion.

After seeing your Forever stem once again, I finally visited their web page: http://www.walkerbriarworks.com/html/forever_stems.html

The Forever stems are a little pricey, but a lovely selection of shapes and sizes. Crappy stems have been the bane of MM smokers for decades. (I understand that MM is shipping better quality stems now.) On the bright side, I've heard that forever is a pretty long time.

Confessions of a Cob smoker … I actually kinda' like the plastic stems.
They are easy on the teeth and a cob is one of the few pipes I regularly clench. :)

They runs sales knocking off a few bucks on certain styles and colors pretty often. I really like them and I really enjoy smoking cobs. I think they also make the cobs look really nice. I’ve had a couple of the plastic stems crack on me pretty easily.

Yeah, I’ll put a plastic stem back on my cobs if I’m going to be clenching while using my hands for something else. I’ve got a couple of the plastic stems that look like a beaver got a hold of them.LOL
