My shipment arrived on Monday, but I did not pick it up until today. The San Andres is not like the previous shipment from 6(?)ish years ago which was thin, fragile, and tightly packed. This is fairly dense;y packed, so you might have to contend with micro wrinkles, but the leaves are strong and spread out easily--much thicker than the prior batch, yet still with very thin veins, and they are rather toothy. Leaves are narrow and long. I rolled one right out of the bag without any rehydrating, using a quarter leaf as binder and another quarter as wrapper, and it held together very well. The filler was one Dominican ligero, and two piloto seco The wrapper flavor is strong and distinct, and is partly reminiscent of Te-amo and partly of Guaranteed Jamaica. This might not be an everyday smoke if you don't like variety, but if you do, it definitely will contribute to your smoking enjoyment.
