Nice job ! Another way is to use those plastic coat hangers ,they work nice and you can hang multiples on one stick. I got 30 leaves on one coat hanger.

i did a poision spraying a while ago, for the SUCK-FLIES,

and a little later it rained, which was good, just enough time to kill all of them, and then get washed off the leaf.

last year i had bad issues with suck-flies, and this year also,

come next year, i'll be ready for them,

hornworms
suckflies
aphids
spider mites.

those are my pest's, that im noticing im dealing with,

Sorry i havent been here in a while, things are not looking up for me after my latest doctors visit . My CT scan was no good the doctor couldnt read it , So i had a upper chest Xray to find the peice of left over metal in my chest from an accident that i had about 17 years ago. The Xray showed no metal so i had the MRI . The peice of metal was actually a peice of broken magnet from a van door speaker that had moved to my waist , I now have it on the fridge door after the MRI. The MRI showed that i have 3 buldging disc's , degenerative disc's in L4 and L5, both are ruptured but L5 is the worst, It has a central disc tear that has gone in to the spinal colum and is pushing the nerves against the wall, that is causing the nerves to be inflamed and my left leg and sometimes my right leg are numb. I have either fallen or passed out twice a week for the last 3 months. This coming week i go for a epidural and a round of steroid shots in my spine, and im told that if this doesnt work my doctor will do a discography and then a disc replacment. I'm sorry but it looks like the workhorse might become a drag on the economy like so many others. I'm driving my poor wife NUTS as all i've ever known is to work and now thats being taken away from me. My tobacco has grown way beyond my expectations I'm on my first sucker crop of big gem 6' tall already , my 3rd sucker crop of one sucker 5' tall, my 1st crop of YTB is 8' tall and ready to harvest , my hickory pryor , gold dollar , and virginia gold all are ready to harvest. I bought a 10 x 12 metal shead from Lowe's on clearance for 100.00 and its full to the brim . Next i'll be hanging it over my boat and anywhere else i can find. I have video of tying on a stick and hanging full stalk. Im keeping alot of seed so if yall need let me know. My cope experiment is pretty close to the real thing. The bakers amonia was the final thing i was lacking., so now my wife is mad saying i'm taking up too much space in the freezer with 30 or so copenhagen cans full of my baccy. Well my back feels like a spike is being driven in to my lower spine from this chair so i'm getting up. Take care and thanks for your prayers .

My best too. Get well so you can enjoy the harvest. When my back was so bad I found hydrocodone and a liquid of your choice (I chose vodka) would get me 4 hours sleep.

I wondered what had happened to you...last we heard you were so busy with AC work in the summer heat. We knew that your back issue was out there,...sorry it is so painful. Good luck and God bless you.

Workhorse,
sorry your back is giving you so much trouble, take care of it. Sounds like you got enough baccy to ride you thru this short setback :)

I let my suckers grow to where it looked like another decent baccy garden then realized I had plenty from my main crop.
I would not have time and space to harvest and cure along with my other responsibilities and projects. Then I got to thinking That they were just taking what nutrients were left in the soil. My bad, but I mowed them over and mulched em up.I plan on a repeat grow in same plot next year. None of the leaves came close to the size compared to main crop.
Its cool you got 2 and 3 sucker crops , I was concerned about you getting your main crop harvested.
