Swung by the house today to take some photos and check things out.

My Delhi 34 has been suckering like crazy this year, but I'm pretty sure I'm caught up.

The Viqueque is an oddly stout plant. There is lots of thick, dark, leaf, but not much height.

The Lumajang is similar. It gets more shade that the other types. To be determined.

Nice looking plants, they are looking extremely healthy. You don't seem to have the bug damage that I see on some of the other guys. Do you spray them or something?

I lost 5 entire plants to cut worms, but I replaced the plants. I found the cut worms that live in the dirt and killed them by squishing them. After that, I sprinkled diatomaceous earth around the plants and haven't had a problem since.

Slugs are sometimes a problem later on. We don't get hornworms. Grasshoppers are uncommon. Aphids also seem to happen later on.

They really do sing. You just need to work with them a little;)

I found our previous home owners gold plated tooth lodged in a crack in the back of our bathroom cabinet. That's a little more gross than your Nicotiana find, but fun none the less:) Hopefully that's the only random body part hiding in our home...

I'm impressed. Hopefully, all the growth tips are eager to produce more leaves. I've had many threats of hail over the years, but never got clobbered.

I couldn't confidently say that I haven't been hit every year. This might be the worst. If I was growing cigar wrapper, I'm sure I would be upset, but this doesn't look too bad. Like I've said to others before, at the end of the year, I'm pretty sure I'll have more tobacco than I started with.

The hail was pretty bad after all. The Delhi-34 did better than the east indies varieties. The Delhi-34 is growing really fast though, which is nice. Overall, it wasn't a complete disaster.

Wow!! To me that's massive damage. We get hail maybe once in every few year's and then it's only piddly ity bitty stuff. You wouldn't notice it except it gets cold. Nevermind it can still be cured and shredded or something.

We get hail multiple times a year. It's often spotty though, only hitting portions of the city. I've seen small hail accumulate a couple inches deep before.
