Now am wondering how you roll a tiller ?

Its a self propelled rear tine with forward and reverse tilling action made by Craftsman. Reverse for breaking sod and deep tilling and forward if you want to manicure and level out the plot or remove the ruts.

Sounds like a pretty nice machine BarG the one I rented to do my patch had a forward only took a full day to break her up. No way I could have done what you did there.

I had one of those years ago. I cracked the rear tine bearing. Sears wanted $85.00 for 1 bearing. I took it off, measured it, went to a bearing supply house and bought one for $2.50!.. Highway robbery I'm telling ya!.. it is a very nice machine though.

Upcoming pics, corkskrew bursa stalks. The wind and sun have decided that bursa grows in a corkscrew no problem.

Nice BarG,
good luck keeping them worms at bay, don't let them escape down here.

I'm going fishing in a couple weeks again, If I find anymore big ones there going in a can with a few suckers to keep them alive instead of stomping. We'll see how the fish like them.

Notice hornworm center left. I sprayed BT yesterday

This aint exactly the corkscrew but it took a good pic. The wind lays them over and the sun straightens them while leaving a lot of leaves on the ground.

Not par for the course, no wind or insect damage:cool:

Notice bareroot transplants catching up to green house started plants.

Thanks JohnLee especicialy since you provided seeds for one of my varietys I failed spectacularly on last year. Good old Ct. Shade leaf. I have been wanting to grow since first I tried some from a sample sent by Don. I expect it will require some extra effort when the plants start maturing and will call on you for some advice if thats okay.

Sure, no problem. Remember they get tall and spindly so string or stake them early. I string mine. I believe you can see it in my last years grow log. I do not top them as a heavier thicker leaf is not what I want.

Mine are just now taking good root and spreadind their leaves. I have a lot of electricians conduit ,the gray plastic 1" and a lot of galvanized 1 1/2 " hurricane fence rails How tall should should they be before worry. They are maybe 16" now in the shade.

A hard wind will get them now and it ain't pretty. Yeah, they do come back but IMO they were never as strong as the ones that went over. Perhaps that's because the ones that didn't go over were stronger in the first place. The root ball remains solid. It's just the stalk that fails. I used ½ galvanized for the whole frame with about 9' below the bars. I then ran a wire line over each row and strung to the wire. As you saw some of mine went 12' last year. That's a bit spindly but it was a nice delicate leaf (as you know).
