I thought it was you. Im gonna try to cure like that this year. Im startin to find wire ever where. I think it may be where the term haywire came from.For my stalk curing (Burley, etc.), I just use a hammer to drive a 2" nail into the base of each stalk at a slant, so when the stalk is inverted, the nail can be hooked on a stretch of rope in my shed. After curing and stripping the leaf, I pull the nail with a claw hammer, and save it for next year. This method allows me to hang the fresh green plants, then scoot them closer together after they've completely wilted.
