rainmax has a really nice video on de-steming somewhere... you have to get enough stem started before you throw and pull it around the wrist.

Just put the cigars into your poly-nylon bags (one bundle per bag), fold over the edge a few time, then hold them shut with a couple of clothespins. No need to add humidity.
