I'll send you some however it turns out to be , have you tried any snus made of Rusticatobacco before ?
For myself , it'll be a new experience since I modified my heattreating and temp standards to a different setting.
Back in -12 I grew some Rustica Shaman from smokesforfree.com amd just used the same 36 h and 90 C as they do with those snuskits.
Last year I just messed it up with propylene glycol and had to throw it all away.......:(
This year will very much different I promise ya that , next week the Perique from 4noggins will probably have dried and will be ready to put up a show in the oven.

You should grab one of your plants and use all the leaf to make one puro twist bound tightly in rope. I did that with one of my corn planters and it's already browned up and it's only been a couple days.

I think once tight and dry as it will get I will put them in glass jars to age. Very promising.

I think a rustica done this way might be on the strong side so small pinches might be a must.

As I understand it , an attemt trying to make that puro twist means that I make no heattreatment and won't add any salt or potash , just use it as it is , have I got that right Smokes ?
Destemmed is a matter of course too I guess. :)

Oh no I was thinking puro in the sense that it's from just 1 plant so you can test it and see without risking too much.

Mmm those cuts look good too in that picture.

I wonder if they put an alkaline solution in with those twists from the factory or are they plain?

I was just sort of kidding , bein a bit envious we snusers didn't have any competition
But if its possible in some sort of way I can imagine myself to contend.
I'll PM you an next week.

I've never tried snus, i have tried to make it many times but it was never very good so I'm sure i failed somewhere, but I've never tested the store bought product. I've seen many recipes but eventually I need to just copy Po's and give it a try. No clue what the end result should taste like, so I'd be a terrible judge but I am intensely interested in the recipes that compete. Then I can copy award winning snus and know it's good:)

I was actually asking Mad if he was to be the JudgeDredd in this eventual Snus Competition , says he got a nice price , wonder what that could be ? ;)
Was out to the patch early this mornin to put more organic waste into holes and took the opportunity to check the plants in the woods , against all odds + 2,5'' of rain the last day and a half they were just fine  God Bless'em
Stayin inside most of yesterday when it rained all day I was thinkin and seeing them in my imagination , all soaking wet and starting to mold , but no siree......

From todays local newspaper

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiFuUD0AYV8&feature=youtu.be , couldn't find the words today so its just a silent clip.........for a change

Was out last night to take home some leag from the forest glade , equopped with 3 paperbags on the rear end of the bike.
Very unfortunately for me it started to rain pretty heavy when I loading leafs an stems into the bags , didn't think to much of it but when I started my journey home the bags fell apart , all three and luckily I managed to have them on the rear end of my bike.
Washed all leaves when I got home , but didn't hang'em until today.
Some of the leaves look just like ribcages......:D

Just a little bit of grinded Burley from my GeurillaPatches

Same hanging as above from the other way around

More Burley to grind , could be 1/2 -1 kg totally

Thanks Rick , didn't really like to wash halfcured leaves when comin home last night , but hope they work out just fine.
Have another bunch waiting in the glade but they were hung a bit later so perhaps they're good to go in the end of this month or beginning of next.
Was a bit of a prob to wash the plants when they were to be stalkhung I figured , but maybe I should have put a bit more effort into that than I did.......
Burley was easy piecy to cure as far as I can say and just loved to hang'em in the stalk.
This one is supposed to have notes of Chocolate in it , from http://www.spicegarden.eu/epages/62431129.sf/es_ES/?ObjectID=8841552&ViewAction=ViewProduct it was.

Thanks BG , yea looks as if they'll turn out in a very dark brown colour like those first hybrids did.
Stem is really thick and massive and haven't really decided if I grind those down with the leaves.
Next time I'm out there to take leif home , I'll use the bricklayer's box.......:D
You'll be alright for a year to come or more I suppose ?
