Great video, And a very unique way to grow backer. Never seen it grown in the woods. Ive seen stuff grown there but never backer. I guess nicotine don't kill earwigs.

Na , it ain't growin in the woods Boboro , its curing in there for 4-6 weeks.
Didn't really know how to cure'em but this idea came up from somewhere , been good too to have eleaves from the trees to shelter when rain come
Them earwigs was under the influence of both nic an nor before I killed them , when I unfolded the leaves they popped out and was like Dizzy Miss Lizzyies ;)
Thanks for appriciation.

My endeavours out on my patch as of yesterday , was out there early in the mornin with the aim to dig and fill some holes in the ground , when suddenly Nils-Ebbe came and mowed the hole open area we have.
I raked together 3 barrels of that valuable grass and worked hard all day almost and managed to complete up to 15 holes with that grass.
Tree leaves would go great with that grass.

I was kinda thinkin about taking the leaves when they fall and put them on top of the soil over winter.
Have dug up all my holes and filled them with all kinds of things under the surface.Plenty of apples.
Soilization is what is what is called , all them weeds an grass will rot / decay in the offseason and you'll have new nutritious soil when u come back in the spring.
Never tried leaves like that , maybe I should.

Talk about rain...............this here is from the very southern parts of Sweden before lunch in Malmoe , 88 mm or 3,5 '' came down in 4 hours. It happened today. 150 kilometers south of my patch.

Im glad you didn't get that.

As am I , talked to one retired guy who had been to Germany and was on his way home , he'd passed Malmoe and said it was very badly signposted along the way.
Nothing serious seems to have happened , 911 ( 112 here ) broke down , some folks had to be evacuated.Plumbers was busy as always.
700 000 ppl live in the municipality 3 rd or 2 nd biggest city of Sweden.

I'm with you on the earwigs ... every time I have cured rustica - I have had earwigs living in the middle of them - whether I was curing outside, in the shed, or in the greenhouse ... they love creeping inside!

They might have found the ideal spot to be in , dark +cozy and get high on the nic + nor ?
Perhaps they go into the Rustica because of its higher nic.content.

Earwigs generally eat dead vegetation, but when I grew Sacred Cornplanter rustica, it was the only live plant that seemed to attract huge numbers of earwigs.

So now that the leaf is mostly brown do you immediately process into snus?

No , can not do that Smokes.
Now when leaf is brown in this case but still elastic/wilted I want to hang them up to get crispy dry , as u can see in the pics stem/midrib is still Greenish in color and that has to go away in a couple of months.
Haven't really decided if I should use that stem when I grind tobacco to flour. Suppose it would be kind of a waste not to since its pretty hefty.
I have lots of time to let it really dry up good and I'm not short of snus in any way.

I don't like taking my car to the lake with me.

I'm not quite sure how you mean there BarG , but anyway , when I first came home I was wearing the wellies and started rinsing the leaves from earwigs.
After a while I got fed up by wearing them and put my Timberlands on instead and continued doing the same thing with them on.

Had to dismantle my fan in the ceiling to make more room for leaf.....

Have just hung 4 rows since 9 this morning , had to check for more earwigs and found a bunch.......one had died by himself , probably from Overdose of one or the other :D
