I'm sort of in a state of shock , as we all know the
Rustica leaf has a tendency to curl when it cures.
Everything went along just fine , no hickups on the road
with the load if I say so , but when I got home in good time before dinner , I thought to myself I wanna open up those curls and see if they're clean enough to be accepable for snus.
Guess what I found
inside those curls ?
EARWIGS !
From what I can understand those fellers don't like the light , that's why you used to find 'em in yer mailbox when one was a kid.
Understood instantly what I had to do , like Boboro said in a thread : Just kill them !
Had to work through the hole box ( a 1000 leaves ? ) anyway they were many , reeled up/unfolded
every leaf and found several hundred in the hole stack/pile.
Had very good help doing what I did from my Timberlands and wellies.
Took me 5 hours + to work through what I brought home.
The pile is now taking a break from all that harassment from the earwigs.
I'll string'em up on the wire tomorrow. That is the leaves I mean
Puh , now I need a nice piece of snus.......
