If your GC-1 grew within a half-mile of other N. rustica varieties, and was not bagged, then it may produce seed that is not true to type (F1-hybrid).

It may sound strange to you in the USA - but I would be very surprised if anyone is growing another N. Rustica within 10 miles of our friend POGreen ... similarly ... I have only ever seen ornamental Nicotiana varieties grown anywhere in the UK except for one exception on an allotment 8 miles away where some Polish guys were growing some kind of bright-leaf.

It is extremely rare for anyone in the UK to grow tobacco - and I would guess that Sweden is similar.

Yes I did have 8 varieties I think in this years grow , but they are all down now except for this little feller that now is budding.
But I do have a few suckers on the stalks in the glance that have flowered so it could very well be a hybrid.

If the GC-1 has any unopened blossoms forming, you can just remove all the open blossoms as well as any pods already formed, then bag the head to get pure strain selfed seed.

You come up with a new grinder or is old nelly still working.

'Ol Nelly broke down today , the tap I had to connect grinder/drill snapped right off.........what a shame that was but no excuse to quit.
Went to the store and got new drills + taps M 10 ( 10 mm ) and got a smaller grinder working just fine,
Something told me these Rusticas does supply a lot of flour , just hope they taste good too
Seems like if I crush the leaves in my hand first and then grind them , it runs smoother.

I'm wilting like you do, I've got strings in the forest, I just cut a notch in the stalk with hand garden shears and hang them on the string. Crazy fast and easy.

Will be interesting to see or hear how they will mature for you Smokes.
Watch out for them earwigs !
It sure was a sight to see those leafs mature one by one in a moderate amount of time , hardly believed what I saw. :D

I only have one more week before the first freeze so I am hoping that the leaf will dry out fast. All goes into the twist then.

Bigbonners transplants were fantastic, total bumper crop of huge, ripe tobacco leaf this year.

Should be half a pound per plant easy.

Course I remember Mad , but you see there is piece of that shaft ouside of the grinder , so I can't connect any hose like that.
But I might be able to do that on tne smaller one .
Pics might turn up.....:)

Wow you don't mess around!

The leaves I work on now has been hangin since sometime in July , but I leave most of the stem on the wire......
Have over 2 kilos of flour so far but if I look up in the ceiling there's more than 80 % left , first I imagined 5-10 kilos of flour , have to revise that to 15 kilos now.

Run the bollt in, and cut it off an inch after., then put the hose on. The drill has too much weight on the bolt. Flex is the idea. Same drill and two grinders?.. Broken and broken.. Mine ,10 cents of hose, and no broken. That drill motor is made for dimolitions here. It can break Your hand LOL PS: Kilos are for drugs in the states, Or fingers.... Mad-
