When I started on pipes I was granted access in a newbie trade over at puff.com.
Basically I buy a tin of easy to get tobacco, and send it to them, and they send me an assortment of stuff.
This kind gent (Dan R) insisted that I send him nothing and sent me a diverse array of tobacco. I had left this one mostly untouched since I understood it was HTF (hard to find).
I am glad I did. I didn't much care for it when I got it initially, but my pallet has opened up and I do like it much more now.

Bright Virginias with a bit of burley, about 15% latakia, and enough perique to make it interesting. Very full and smokey.
