I'm sure you'll give the deer a chance to pay their tab in the fall.

BT, How do you lay down your cloth? Do you have one of those machines that hooks up to your tractor's PTO, rolls and tucks the cloth under the soil?

Yup, I only use it for a couple of hrs a yr and it holds the garage wall up the rest of the time.
It was a worthwhile investment considering the time it saves.

Some ? You mean A LOT ! :) How many plants did you put in the ground ?
Congratulations !
i got about 100 in.
Im in no hurry, I might stick in 50 more tonight.
300 is nothing compared to 750 to 1000 I grew in the past.

I have no clue for spacing for this Baccy.
so I did a row of 12, 18 and 24 inches apart.
I think I will stick with 18 inches:confused:

That sounds like a nice cool place for slugs to hide under during the day. I've had bad experiences with flat things on the ground in the garden.

750 to 1000 ! whouah that's a LOT ! :)
It's a lot of work !
I feel like 250 is about what I can manage, more would probably be too much, but who knows ;)

Correct, the slugs love to hide under flat things in the garden (under the pots for example).

The hell with the AstroTurf in the garden.
I never had a problem with using blood meal when planting until JBD said something about critters:confused:

I've been trapping and then releasing my critters in your back yard for a few years now. As a matter of fact I have a pick-up truck load of ground hogs I'll be dropping off... soon...in the middle of the night... :)
