I got a good story about shark meat. I left some on the pit one day and a neighbor came and ate it. There was some thin flexibible cartilage type something that got stuck in his throat and his wife called the paramedics and they knocked him down and rammed their fingers down his throat to pull out a 1" flexible piece of something. I come back and seen my shark meat gone. I like it Its real rich tasting.

Well I think less lime in the potting mix will help. I added vinager to plants that were yellow and they seemed to green up almost immediately. Also when I picked a few leaves from them they literally threw water on me from the break :)

ROOTS GROWING INTO GUTTERS IN 3 - 4 DAYS . AWESOME:)

5 HANGINGS OF ABOUT 7' EACH. MOST ARE GOOD LEAVES. TAKES 2 DAYS TO COLOR CURE.

NEXT PLANTING.... ANYONE IN AREA LEMME KNOW IF YA WANT SOME PLANTS FREE FOR THE ASKING :) 19 VARIETIES. ACTUALLY 18.. THE ONE SUCKER DIDNT HATCH TO WELL.
small6.jpg

MOST ALL LEAVES PRIMED CAME OFF THE BUCKETS RATHER THAN THE GROW BAGS. AM SUCKERING BY LEAVING ONLY ONE LEAF PER SUCKER TO SORTA REPLACE THE LEAF AT WHICH THE SUCKER SPROUTED AND WILL LET A BOTTOM SUCKER GROW TO REPLACE LATER.

those werent worse pics either. Soap kills them but waiting on the Ivory soap results. Safer Insecticidal soap is not to safe. Has phoshates i think and will burn the broadleaf tobacco IMO. Have been just hosing them off but the brown ones dont stay gone like the green ones. I found a dam hornworm big as Deluxe's stoogie today. He topped a plant for me :(
He ded now tho. Lots of small 1/2 to 3/4 inch sizes so I sprayed BT and will for next 3 weeks on regular schedule . Havent had any problem with worms in a month or so.
BTW the 2nd and 3rd leaves down didnt have aphid damage but wrinkled like hail??? Any idea why?

Are the wrinkled leaves on all the plants, or just the ones with aphids? How old are those plants? I'll help you look back through some 2012 grow blogs and see if it's normal for that age.

Pretty much all plants. All but the tip leaves seem to wrinkle but aren't turning color really. All plants have been litely topped for a month at least. I have been leaving some of the upper sucker leaves on [only one to a sucker and they are making long strong leaves] Th lower ones I did like that are making slower growth. Stll not many bottom suckers. And all in all the mix with the most cow manure did the best tho they mature towards yellow slower.

All plants from same hatching. I think 4 months from seeds.

The leaves will wrinkle like that as they get ripe. I think they are past the mature stage and beginning to get ripe, which is what you want for cigarettes. Cigar leaf is harvested when it is mature. Cigarette leaf is harvested when it is ripe. How ripe? I'm not completely sure. We'll have to do some digging in the Harvesting threads.
