I might beat you to it Dave. I have 5 cigars in the mold from yesterday that will get wrappers tonight and might roll up 3 bunches of that blend tonight.

Keeping the thread alive.............

Havana (Lonnie's I think) & CT Broadleaf equal parts from Big Bonner. BL had been in my cooler for ~2yrs.
1 leaf Nic Viso
Dixie binder from Bar G
Bezuki wrapper from WLT

This one tasted great. Just strong enough, didn't overpower. Clean American tobacco flavor. I really like how the Havana smooths out the blend. Bar G's Dixie works well in the filler as well. I tasted a little nuttiness when used in the filler. Didn't notice that when used as binder. Odd?

I received Dixie Shade seed from IndianJoe this week, so I might be able to replicate this blend in 2 years, lol. Sounds like a great blend! I need to order some more Nic. Habano Viso soon.

I lite up a test cigar with Dark Fire leaf in it. I have been trying to find a binder wrapper combo that goes with the blend I have been using. Todays had Broadleaf binder, (thanks for that tip AZD) and Maduro Wrapper. Tomorrow I'll try one with a Broadleaf binder and San Andres wrapper.

Warm humid night on the patio BBQ pork chops. Pulled robusto sized scrap filler (including binders and wrappers) Monte calm yellow binder,Maduro wrapper. Some of my scraps are over 10 years old. This one was mild and subtle. No peppery bite, nutty, smooth. I tasted more Dominican than anything else. I do love the scrap blends

At last I had a home grown cigar, the first for this years grow. could not wait. Pulled some 2 week old fermented tobacco out my fermenting fridge.
Vuelta Abajo- ligero. Criollo- ligero. Comstock- seco. Pen- broadleaf binder. La Palma- wrapper. Nice smoke, nice and light, think it should be even better after another 4 weeks.
A bit of a worry for me was the smell of the plastic bags if keep the tobacco in to ferment them, it`s thick bags that people use to sell wood in. I thought I could smell the plastic bags on the tobacco when I took the tobacco out, but the smell went after a while, luckily. So good times are on the way!!!!

I had an excellent cigar the other day. I used BigBonner's Havana 7 as a wrapper and binder, with WLT's Piloto Cubano Viso and Nic. Habano Seco. Sometimes a 3 blend Cigar is enough :)

I smoked a badass little cigar that I couldn't tell you because I didn't have my glasses on to read the fine print. It was sent from webmost and very good

Boy did this thread get off topic....
Today I celebrated the start of my tobacco grow. Got the two flats sowed up with the seeds , then once it was all under light(see my thread in Growing tobacco)I lit up one of my Smokin' Harley sticks I rolled a couple months ago.
1/2 Mata fina core,1 each Nic Habano/Piloto Cubano filler, Red Tip Burley double binder and wrapped in Jamaican Appleton Estate rum flavored Nic Habano...I must say , quite a nice smoke . Well worth the wait.

I had a Dr. appointment this morning so when I got home I lit up one of my # 2
1 1/2 Nic habano Seco
2 Criollo 98 Seco
1/2 Criollo 98 Ligero
1/2 Meta Fina
Sumatra binder
San Andres wrapper

I'm going to try this blend with 2 Piloto Viso rather then the ligero next.

Perfect day here in corn country, sunny, mid sixties, and almost no wind. So I fired up one of my well aged cigars, a Punch Churchill from Nov '99. It was an amazing smoke!

I had this little "Trompeto" to start the day outside. Nice sunny day, with a slight breeze. Then I pulled out one that's been resting a while, and had another. The second one was great too, with Criollo Liguero and Nic. Habano Viso, wrapped in a Habana 2000 wrapper. 4 stars!
